Ho Leaf (Cinnamomum camphora)
Location: Grows in abundance in China.
Extraction: Steam distilled from the leaves.
Colour and Odour: The essential oil is colourless and has a slightly spicy, woody, sweet, floral aroma.
Description: A tall evergreen tree that grows in abundance in China. It can be used as an environmentally friendly alternative to Rosewood. It is also the tree that produces white camphor (which is obtained from the wood)
Properties: Very similar to that of Rosewood, antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal.
Uses
Emotion- Can help soothe the mind and balance emotions. It can also help relieve fatigue.
Skin-It is a good skin conditioner and can be helpful for acne, dry, sensitive skin.
